Executive Summary - Lake Como & Milan

Saw: Lake Como, Bellagio, the Alps, Milan, Milan's Duomo, some sort of castle, lots of Prada

Did: Took a ferry around the bottom left part of Lake Como (it's a big lake), took a funicolare for a panoramic view of Lake Como, bought lots of silk scarves in Bellagio, kept an eye out for George Clooney (no avail), congratulated myself for my decision to spend 12 hours in Milan and move on but wished I had enough room in my stomach to participate in aperitivo before heading south!

Ate/Drank: Hostel food (meatloaf and fried eggplant!), Braesola, buffalo mozzerella, pasta e fagioli (soup), Top 3 best meal in Italy: Osso Bucco with Risotto Milanese and Tiramisu!

Favourite part about Lake Como & Milan: Bellagio...serene, classy, gorgeous

Least favourite part about Lake Como & Milan: Trying to see Da Vinci's The Last Supper and being denied; Also, the funicolare in Lake Como seriously oversold the 'panoramic views' and 'quaint village'

Life-altering revelation which has contributed to my search for universal truth: I will never be fashionable enough for Milan!

Current career thought: Hmmmmm...there's a 6 month cooking & Italian language course in Asti / Piedmont area...how long can I drag this unemployed thing out and when does the session start?
