This morning, despite being pretty unenthusiastic about doing anything really, I made my way to Westminster station to catch one of the river boats.
The cruise was basically the same as the bus tours but from the river. I might have enjoyed it more on a somewhat warmer day. The weather was beautiful just chilly. The commentary was good. Provided in four languages. English, Irish, Scottish, and Rubbish. I'm quoting here.
I stayed on until it reached the Tower of London. I had booked it ticket last night so there were no lines for the tickets and o could go straight in. No that it mattered because I then had a fifteen minute wait for the next Yeoman tour. You don't have to do the tour but I thought I would and I'm really glad I waited. The guy was so funny. Had us all laughing.
The tour only lasted an hour and didn't cover everything so I wandered around for most of the afternoon. Of course I saw I crown jewels. I had originally planned to head to Oxford Street but I ended up spending so much time in the tower that I couldn't be bothered doing any shopping. I headed straight back to the hotel for a rest.
I started packing everything back into my suitcase, in preparation for tomorrow. It's kind of annoying that I have to wait till tomorrow evening to leave. Now that it's time to go I just want to get on with it.

Mum A perfect time to go to Oxford St for some retail therapy before the boring part of travel, actually travelling there & home again.
