Hi everyone,

Currently in Bari Italy for the day on the way to Croatia - its been a mission journey so far and its still not over. We had a seven hour ferry back from Santorini to Athens, a night in Athens, three hours on a bus to Patra and a 17 hour overnight ferry here. Tonight we have another overnight ferry to Dubrovnik.

The ferry ride was certainly an experience with some of the rather strange Italian men on board. One continued to quack at us and then told us we looked like 3 little mermaids who had just sprung out of the water, 3 other guys were just creepy and wouldnt stop staring, and a whole lot of other truly random encounters. Slept on the deck on the floor - not exactly a quality sleep but at least we got a few hours shut eye. Will be the same situation tonight i think.

Bari has been fun - we got pizza and gelato for lunch for a true Italian experience, and visited the Basilica of Saint Nicholas - to say thank you for Christmas! Its not much of a tourist town so weve just been wandering around for the day. Cant wait for Croatia now!
