Hellp from Budapest.

We have been here for three days and have had a fantastic time. The city is split into two citys - Buda and Pest - we stayed on the Pest side.

Day one we wandered around Pest checking out the Parliament building and surrounding areas - its modelled on Westminster Abbey for some bizarre reason and is absolutely amazing!! Also chesked out the Opera House and some other places too. We also visited this crazy statue park *check out the pics* which is full of communist statues that were dotted all over Hungary - very strnge. That night we hit the town - met a couple of Hungarian guys who took us to a really cool and huge club with lots of different bars - was a great night....the hangover the next day wasnt so great though!!!! But a guy that we met that night offered to be our tour guide the next day....sooo....

Day two - After a late start we checked out Castle HIll, and the citys oldest church - built in the 1200s!! Hard to believe anything could be that old!! He also showe us some other cool sights of the city and we ended the day at these amazing thermal baths built in a really ols buidling - its the think to do on a SUnday to get rid of a hangover apparenlty - they open at 6am so you can go straight from town!!!

ANd day three - we went back to th Castle to vist the underground labyrinth there. Another strange experience. We couldnt quite work out what a fossiledCoke Bottle was doing in something supposedly 42 million years old!!!

And tonight we are off to Krakow, Poladn - another 11 hours on the train!!
