Decided to go to the Gili Islands for 2 days after hearing amazing things about it, we were not disappointed!
Got a speed boat over to the island which was fun lay on the top deck and got to play our music on their speakers.
We went to Gili Trawangan which is the bigger of the 3 islands. There is no transport on the islands so you get around by horse and cart or bicycle.
We got a bit confused as some guys riding past on a bicycle shouted that he owned the hostel we were staying in, he told us to follow him. Sarah and I being the paranoid two did not follow but chels was off, we eventually followed and he was the owner! Cambodia has made me suspicious haha!
Spent the afternoon on the beach sat on bean bags which was amazing. I've never seen sea so clear and blue. We aimed to go out that night but after dinner we crashed out in the room.
The following day we hired bikes and cycled around the island, it took around an hour but we stopped half way for a drink and dip in the sea. Some points we had to push the bike through sand which was pretty tough! Found a nice beach so we spent the rest of the afternoon here, tried some snorkelling there was so much coral but not many fish I still loved it!
Had dinner then got ready for a night out, it was a bit of a messy one!!
The morning after we were not in a good way, after frantically packing we nearly missed the boat back. The boat was not fun, so choppy and the only way to get through it was to try and sleep.
We arrived in our hostel near the airport late afternoon and just chilled out which was so nice. Caught up with people on FaceTime then watched finding nemo and off to sleep, Living the high life!
