Phnom Penh is a nice city, in places it's hectic, dusty from the roads & smoggy from the mopeds etc but on the whole it's my favourite city so far compared to Ho Chi Minh & Hanoi! We are staying near the riverfront & royal palace which was nice to walk around. We stayed in a nice guesthouse where the manager spoke good English which is so nice to b able to communicate! We took a 2 hour ferry over to koh rong island, an up & coming stunning tropical island that will probably look a lot different in years to come by being more built up so I'm glad I got to see it in its natural form now! We were so excited by the crystal clear waters as we pulled up & all the fish we could see! We stayed in a cheap hostel that wasn't the greatest but we weren't in it much anyway! So we entered Cambodia on Sunday 27 October my minibus through ha tien border, was quite painless & didn't take too long, just paid, got our passports stamped with visa for a month & carried on driving!! Was a nice drive in, lovely scenery, very green. We stayed one night in sihanoukville so as to leave for koh rong island in the morning! We walked down to the beach bars & had a good night out then up for a pick up in the morning!

Phu quoc is beautiful! Not much to do here apart from relax on beautiful beaches! We stayed in a bungalow in a resort right along long beach and had a nice relaxing few days, lovely still water & yellow sand! We left Ho Chi Minh city on Wednesday 23 October on a 1night 2day tour of the Mekong delta! We visited a temple & the Buddha of happiness where we saw monks having their breakfast! We went on a boat cruising along the Mekong seeing the different islands off of it, learning how they live here, saw how they make coconut candy from water coconuts & tried the snake wine!!
