Today we walked up to Chris and Becki's hotel to leave our backpacks there while we looked for a new hotel, and dammmmn it's a posh one. It looks very expensive and has four swimming pools and a private beach. Their room has an amazing view looking out onto the sea. The only problem was that we had to walk up a really steep hill to get there. Which wasn't made any easier in the heat and with our backpacks.
After looking in a few places we found somewhere nice. At first they wanted 800 baht a night, but we managed to get them down to 600. So about 12 quid a night, not too bad. It's a spacious room with laminate floor, a corner bay window, tv, fridge, free wifi, hot shower, good thick bed, balcony and a pool. We decided to stay for 8 nights. So until the 23rd when Chris and Becki were leaving. Then we could go somewhere new, not sure where yet.
We've booked a full day safari tour thing for tomorrow. It has a lot of different activities included in it; elephant trekking, elephant show, monkey show, thai boxing, thai cooking, waterfall, 4x4 jeep safari, mountain view point, thai lunch and snorkelling. So it should be good fun.
