We spent a week at the Whitsunday's, which was a nice holiday. We needed this week as this is how long it took us to decide where to go next, as we had been ringing lots of different farms and working hostels looking for farm work to get our second year visa and no one had anything, or they were full with a massive waiting list!

So we decided to fly to Brisbane, a new city to go and explore for a few days. At least we were getting to see some more of Australia, if we don't manage to get any farm work.

Brisbane felt quite a bit smaller than Melbourne, but it's good getting to explore somewhere new. We had booked 4 nights at Chill Hotel in a private room as we didn't fancy sharing a room in a dorm, it's nice to have some privacy.

The good thing about Brisbane is that everything is quite close together so you don't have to walk to far to get to places. We also came across Brisbane's fake beach which was in the city centre near the river. Strange having a man made beach in the middle of the city, but a good place to go and chill at if its a sunny day.

Brisbane is a nice city, but we prefer Melbourne so far.
