So yesterday we went on a boat tour to do some snorkelling and to go and see Whitehaven beach. Thankfully these boats we went on were a lot better than the ones in Thailand, as they took these boats at fast speeds. Our first point of call to the day was to do a bit of snorkelling. The water was absolutely freezing to say it was a pretty nice day. It was still fun snorkelling though, getting to see all the different fish, and we even saw a large clam opening and shutting. We both enjoyed snorkelling here, but we both thought there were more colourful fish in Thailand.

After doing some snorkelling, we did a bush walk up to Hill top point to view the Whitehaven beach, which looked amazing! We took so many photographs. While we were up there enjoying the views, Josh went to use the toilets up there where he ended up seeing a huntsman spider sat on the toilet seat!! Scary! On the way back to the boat, which picked us up from the beach, there was a swarm of crabs all running around on the sand, it was a crazy sight.

So after this we moved on to have some lunch on the beach. While me and Josh were busy eating our lunch, we heard a rustle come from behind us, and when we turned it was a really big lizard, apparently they come down to the beach to look for snake and turtle eggs.

On the way back to Airlie beach me and Josh were thinking how awesome it would be to see a whale, as we kept seeing them on tv programmes and films, and then some one shouted out that they had seen a baby humpback whale! It was really was awesome to see a whale, it made our day!
