Los Angeles

We woke up to rain.Everyone we spoke to said there was no point tackling Los Angeles without a car. And with the torrential rain we made our way to a car rental place.We flew up the highway to Universal Studios and had the best day!A studio tour showed us Bates Motel from the film Psycho, Wysteria Lane from Desperate Housewives, the set of Jaws and soooo many others!We even got to experience King Kong's 3D Ride where our golf-buggy shuttle was ripped apart and destroyed by King Kong himself and several dinosaurs!

As it was raining we had complimentary coffee and hot chocolate all day and there were hardly any queues!The Simpson's ride, Terminator, The House of Horrors, Shrek Ride and sooo many others kept us widely entertained!

We certinally indudlged in some teriffic breakfasts in "Astro Burger". Our breakfasts varied from Egg & Bacon Muffins, Waffles with bananas / strawberries, whipped cream and butter, pancakes with eggs, raisin and cinamin french toast. All accompanied with Maple Syrup... obviously.

Day 2 in LA consisted of a lot of Star hunting!Equiped with our 'Star Homes Map' we did the tour and found the Playboy Mansion, Halle Berry, Gene Hackman and so many others houses .... or should I say gates?From there we visited Venice Beach and got stuck in traffic!Having returned the car we walked down Hollywood Blv. Visiting all of the Stars and Slabs of concrete starts have signed.The following morning a speedy trip to Ripleys House (of wonders of the world!) before tackling the metro back to the airport.We were coming home.
