Los Angeles

We have mastered time travel: A 10 hour flight beginning at 10pm on the 4th October in Fiji landing in Los Angeles at 1pm also on the 4th October.It took us 2 hours to get into the centre of LA on our shuttle bus... incredible!The traffic is so heavy and the city is spread out so much its almost impossible to get around by foot.When we eventually arrived at the hotel we were exhausted.But my life had we done well with the hotel!Talk about luxury!We needed some rest bite to say the least, although all we had been doing was resting in Fiji there is nothing quite like a really comfy bed with proper sheets - and of course, a plasma TV and working fridge! What with it being Sam's birthday and the fact that apparently no restaurants would be open at 8pm we ordered takeout.Now pizza took our fancy and there was a delightful offer for free buffalo wings with a certain sized pizza... we went for it.

As I opened the door to greet the pizza delivery boy I was blown away.What had we done?!It was bigger than the door!As I giggle away I could hardly turn it with the pizza boy to get it into the room!We sat in astonishment with our super-sized beers and began to tuck in.

We didn't even quite do half.Shameful.But the pizza did feed us for all our lunches for the rest of the trip!Pretty good value as well!I can't quite believe the cheapness of fast food out here - 50 McDonalds Chicken nuggets for $10 USD.Can you believe it!?No wonder they are having problems....
