One of the best nights of my life:
Flamenco in Granada. After our tour guide showed us the place to go, we had a few drinks at the hostel until it was time to go at about 1am. The place sits directly opposite the Alhambra and the views of it lit up at night were breathtaking.
When we got there, it was clear that it was just locals, that we were trespassers, and not one of them spoke a word of english. After we started buying drinks at the bar, we were made to feel like family!! The family who own the place are well known for housing the best flamenco shows all around Spain. Their son is 21, and it said to be the next big thing in Spain, one of the best guitatists around at the moment. He was there just hanging out with his parents, and played guitar the whole time. It sounded like he was playing 10 guitars at the same time, it was just beautiful. I cried with happiness at one point it was just so amazing. There were singalongs all night, and the flamenco was brilliant. It was just one of those nights where you cant believe how lucky you are. I'll never forget it for as long as I live.
Afterwards we went to a tacky nightclub and danced until 5am. Great times. Hangover yesterday was no so great, so had a recovery day. We are planning on going back there for some more flamenco tonight, and then tomorrow: The Alhambra. For those of you who don't know what it is, google images it. I can't wait to go there I've been looking forward to it the most this whole trip!
Also, I had some problems with my last two blogs, they didnt upload all that I wrote for some reason and so were very short! I just added some more to them now :) xxxx
