The last few days of the trek were fantastic, we went quad biking on sunday afternoon which was ace! Racing across the desert with sand in your face is actually great fun! The next morning on the way to Kings canyon I went camel riding which was brilliant, they are such lovely creatures, graceful and relaxing! We got up at 5 am the next day to hike around the rim of Kings Canyon, enjoyed the walk but didn't find the canyon that spectacular to be honest. That evening we watched the sunset over Uluru (Ayers Rock) and got up at 5 again the next morning to watch the sunrise and walk around the base of Uluru, this was awesome, it's much bigger and more textured than I'd imagined. We also did a walk at Kata Tjuka (the Olgas) and then it was back to Alice where some of spent the last night at a star gazing centre in the desert, it was really cool looking at the planets through telescopes and the guy was weird and wonderful!
