Hello,
Sorry for the delay on the photos, it takes forever to upload them with slow computers! Last we left you, Sarah was ill in Ko Phi Phi but now she is all better and we are in Ko Lanta. After relaxing for a few days in Phi Phi, we went on another boat tour to see Phi Phi Leh, the smaller island. We fed monkeys, kayaked, snorkled, and enjoyed the sunset. It was very relaxing! We thought that Ko Phi Phi was a little too developed than we would like, so we left and took a boat to Ko Lanta. We also had some very loud mouthed Australian girls in the room next door that kept us up at all hours of the night. Overall we thought Phi Phi was quite overrated, except for Phi Phi Leh. I, Sarah, felt like I barely saw much of it though, as I enjoyed most of my time there laying in our bungalow.
We decided to spoil ourselves a bit and found a place with a pool (20 a night including breakfast) right on the beach. Here we have mostly been relaxing, swimming in the pool, and reading our books. We really like Ko Lanta. Yesterday we had a Thai massage, which was more like a cross between going to a chiropractor and a pilates class. It was more painful than relaxing, but something to experience. Later we went and had dinner at a restaurant on the beach and watched a fire show. Today we decided to rent bikes and explore the island. The ride was more work than relaxing, as there were a lot of hills. What was ironic was that by trying to avoid injury in not renting a motor bike, Sarah took a tumble off the bike down a hill and got some scrapes and bruises. Tomorrow our journey out of Thailand begins with a boat ride to Krabi. We are being picked up at 730am for the boat ride which is about 2 hours. Then we will have some time to kill in Krabi Town before our overnight bus ride to Bangkok departs at 4pm. This lasts until 5am, so you do the math on how long that ride will be! Hopefully we will be able to sleep and wont have all of our stuff stolen on it, but it was our only choice as trains are booked up for about two weeks.
Once in Bangkok, we are planning to stay there one night and then begin an all day journey to Cambodia the next morning. This is supposed to be a very eventful trip, and we will let you know how it all turns out!
Check out the photos now... unfortunately more bad luck is that my brand new camera has stopped working, and Ryans camera is ancient and only holds about 50 photos, so we will figure out what to do about this once in Bangkok.
Ok that is it for now!
