This is the front of the Castle. We had a tour of the State Rooms and were free to walk around the grounds. We were bussed up and back from the visitor centre at the bottom of the hill.

We have not seen much of Morro Bay as it is fog bound. Apparently it is beautiful. We hope for a glimpse in the morning before we leave. We had a walk along the harbour and round to the US equivalent of Gibralter Rock. We watched seals playing in the sea and witness a car leave the road near us demolish a fence and caused much damage to the car. She was not hurt. We also stopped here as it felt like a wild west town.We shopped at the saloon.

En route today we were advised to visit Solvang. Well worth it. The town was established by three men from Denmark and much of the town is replicated from things in Denmark. In the photo we are sitting next to the mermaid (you need to look at this photo closely !!). Hans Christien Anderson featured well as do the buildings. The wine, beer, cheese and chocolate were good. Earlier we had had a brief look at Santa Barbara.

It is Wednesday and we have had yet another good day. We are now at a campsite at Morro Bay which is about half way from LA to San Fran.
