We've only just arrived in Sydney and the people here seem really lovely! We knew it would be quite expensive for a cab from the airport to our hostel so we jumped into the Sydney train then bus. We found our way.. This hostel (smells like Blue cheese) is the cheapest in Sydney is £20 a night between us, in Thailand we were paying anything from £3.50. So it's going to be a shock for our wallet!
So far we've seen the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera house, been to the Aquariam to see sharks eeek, went up the Sydney tower to see across the whole of the city, visited China town for a much missed meal, and took a trip to Manly beach for the day. It's been really sunny :) and then suddenly will trickle down so we might need our pink ponchos mum and dad sent Daniel to give us!!
We've now moved hostels and moved to the beach town of Coogee. We stayed here for the last 2 nights and we planned to walk along the coast to Bondi Beach. Our 1st attempt was rained off half way as we got battered by the rain and wind coming in off the sea so on our last day rain or shine we headed off on the 5.5km trek along the beautiful coastline.
By the time we got to Bondi the clouds had yet again filled the sky so sunbathing was off the agenda but we chilled out until it was time to go back which by surprise was when it started raining so we got the bus home instead.
We have enjoyed Sydney because as much as it is a major city, within 15 minutes you can be near the sea.
We are now waiting to board our first Greyhound coach to Port Marquaire.. Let's get our surf on!! :)
