Time here is flying, we are almost through the lessons, picked up two more hours a day in the afternoon to take advantage of this opportunity. My teacher is Antonio, a nice 39 year old guy, his wife is also one of the 5 owners of the spanish school. A good teacher and he made learning spanish interesting. Sarah had a lovely lady called Rosa, who she got along really well with. For the first week they did a lot of writing, but after that they were able to talk more and more.
A general lesson for me after the first ones:
8am, Coffee and a chat for an hour and half or more with a second or third cup. Then lessons and new content till 10:30. About 10:40/45 we head back till 12. Lunch with the family at 1 and back to school for 2pm, just half a coffee.
Afternoon lesson was 40 minutes of talking and 1 hour and 20 minutes of lessons.
Then about homework exercises. The night varied but dinner at 7 started out constant and slowly slipped to us waiting for half an hour.
The family are very religious evangelicals and some would attend church each day. This made dinner interesting somedays and just us on other day with our host mum or Vilma.
Christmas is a few days away. We thought for a while about a present and hunted all over town for a card with no luck. after both chatting to our teachers we bought a cake for the house and family for Christmas. Currently there is a live turkey in the back yard!!! We are on turkeywatch. It won't be alive much longer as it is going to be part of dinner here. They have got other things ready but we will see what happens. Im interested to see if we get beans tomorrow!! We have had beans for 2 meals a day everyday, with tortillas at every meal.
