From beach paradise to Trinidad
We woke up early with many plans, which mainly consisted of fitting in a swim before we had to leave. Sarah rose alittle worse for wear, not really sure yet but maybe the crab didn't agree with her.
I had a big $3 breakfast again and Sarah picked at parts feeling dusty. We headed to the beach where Sarah read and I went for a run. The kilometres went past, I felt good and I ended up running out of beach after running past where we sailed from.... I was really surprised, maybe I'm not loosing too much fitness?
We had a quick dip, Sarah came in for a little but something was still not right!
We made our way to the bus station and took another trip, all the way to Trinidad. Each time you stay anywhere they offer to ring their friend and give you somewhere to stay next. The Rancho Luna house and family were amazing so we decided to accept and we would be greeted by someone to take us to our new family. We were taken from the bus, put on a tuktuk and roped our bags on. The father of the house was on a different bike beside us, helping the 'driver' with intersections and pushing us up the hills. Anytime he could get beside us he was trying to talk to us.
They rode us to a different house than we expected, hmmm, what's going on? We arrived on the outskirts of Trinidad and luckily to an amazing family, greeting us with juice, leading us to a lovely room and were extremely welcoming. I headed out for a walk while Sarah had a lay down, still feeling sick. We asked for only one dinner, no need getting all that food when Sarah was not going to eat any of it.
To our surprise we sat down and I had normal dinner with Sarah getting a special bean soup that they claimed would be the cure to her sickness. After my dinner and Sarah having half of her soup, she was about to return to the room when an intense Spanish argument took place between the two ladies. The result was a trip somewhere and the brewing a special tea to heal Sarah's stomach. It worked, the Cuban mystery tea fixed Sarah's sickness!! Thanks Trinidad family.
