One slow day
There was no moving me anywhere, unless it was a trip to the toilet. I even spent time during the night hugging the toilet. There were some wise moments but at least I made it (it was a close call). So it was needless to say I was slow and it really was uphill all day.
Sarah woke up to her alarm early at six with the strict plan to try and get a refund for the flights from Venezuela to curaçao. With a full sob story ready and feeling like there was fifty fifty chance, she rang. The lady gave it to us and didn't even ask about it at all.
After this success we headed into town and booked flights from here, through Bogota and on to Curaçao. On the way the taxi driver showed us the first sign of road rage we have seen on these crazy roads. We were on a crossroad with the more major one way road sitting behind a red light. When a car stopped and blocked our path across (they couldn't move anyway), our driver opened his door and walked around to the drivers side of the other taxicab. He then vented his frustration face to face with the driver. At first it was pleasant but it got South American (heated and emotional). He got back in and told us his thoughts on the other driver very calmly. That's how it works here I guess.
I got up for it just incase Sarah's card didn't work as I have used mine for the major transactions. In the end it was lucky I came as hers didn't work.
That was all I could do for a while as I crashed on a lounge with lunch and a fresh mango drink, just for a few movies.
Sarah planned the accommodation and pickup in curaçao and everything was planned from now until Germany!!
The rest of the day was spent trying to get better, with a small swim in the pool to cool down..... well we stood in the water anyway. See how the night goes.
