Day 5: Home again A slow and lazy start to the day after we both woke at 3:30 and went back to sleep. Since this point I was supporting a really healthy headache and a sore jaw on one side. Day 4: Our little group The others were up at 5am for a long walk back to the starting point while we rose at 7:30 for a more civilized 9am departure. We had a relaxed breakfast which began with the usual coffees and hot chocolates. The most interesting part of our conversation was about WW1 and WW2, due to the war book Sarah was reading. Day 2: Rain and rivers Just for a change, another big uphill, this time as a wake up call before 6am. As we pushed up we had to climb past some boggy bits, a product of the overnight rain. We had a mainly uneventful climb and decent for three hours, past a coffee producer asleep in a hammock out the front and past a few other camps on our way to breakfast camp. We arrived at another camp which was set out really well, and it had what looked like clean bunk beds....

Day 1: This is hot We got up excited and packed our small bags for the trek. We were both only taking our day sacs, mine quarter filled with the camera. Other items included one set of dry clothes in a ziplock bag, underwear x4, socks x1 for the night (incase of mosquitoes), board shorts and a towel. Also toiletries and cards, all you need.
