One week into Muay Thai training and I love it! I am slowly getting through the pain threshold and my shins are now like rocks. The training is brutal but fun. The harder you train the harder they push you!
A typical day starts at 7.30am when you strap up your injuries from the previous day, apply muscle rub and enjoy a Thai Red Bull. I then run the mile to training where you partake in 3-4 sparring sessions before bagwork and then into the ring for abs and stretches. Its then a brisk run home, shower and breakfast.
The 2nd session starts at 4pm and is equally as tough but usually starts with shadow training, pad work and more bag work!
Not only is the training amazing and like nothing you could find back home but the people are great. The trainers speak little English but they are there purely to train and literally have no mercy. I have met some great fellow travellers and am excited to see 2 of them fight tonight.
Good Luck guys!!
