What a beautiful day!! We took a trip around the Napali coast and we were lucky to see dolphins, whales and a even a few fish! The Napali coast is gorgeous and the 5 1/2 hours went by far too quickly.

Today we tried Paddle Boarding for the 1st time and we were naturals! Before long we were trying to catch the waves....a great day at the beach.

Today we did a 2 mile hike along Napali Coast to Hanakiai beach. The trek took us 1 1/2 hours and we were warned NEVER to get in the water due to the strong currents that have killed many tourists over the years. In the winter the surf eats up the beach so we perched on lava rock boulders to eat our lunch.

Today was perfect! We woke up at 4am and travelled to the summit of Haleakala National Park which is a dormant volcano here in Hawaii. At 6.11am we, along with another few hundred people, watched as the sun rose. It really was a beautiful site to see. We then had to take the car down to 8000ft before hitching a ride back to the summit @ 10000ft. 1st day in Hawaii and spent the day at the beach playing softball and relaxing. The beaches are beautiful and the scenery is amazing. 1st observation of Hawaii is that the people are a little crazy but very polite and laid back. Breakfast took an hour to come, they offer to take your shopping to car and had 2 very weird conversations with people on the beach!!
