Hello my prettys!
What a cool few days! Got back from or jungle trek yesterday. Started the trek on elephant which was really cool, I just knew we'd end up on the one crazy ass elephant in the group tho. Me and Fallon both started off on the seat on the elephants back with our guide sat on its shoulders but then he asked if we wanted to sit on the front. I sat on its shoulders which was well scary and our guide just jumped off and ran off through the bushes singin to himself! I swear he was a mad man! Then the elephant (which was a right greedy pig) just wandered off the track through the bushes and totally ignored where it was supposed to be going! Just imagne our guide far off ahead shouting 'Oran-Chang'! Honestly, Oran-Chang didnt give a s***! Was so fun tho! We bought some bananas and sugar cane for her and she just kept stopping and putting her trunk over her shoulder. refused to move until we fed her! The trek itself was great, but hard work! How did I ever do Duke of Edinburgh?! I swear I thought I was gonna have to be air lifted out at one point! Some parts were so dodgy. walkin over 3 bamboo sticks over a cliff face! (its ok mum, ive done it and I lived!). We spent one night in a hut by a waterfall and another in one of the hill tribe village huts! It was so interesting to see hoe the hill tribes lived. every one seemed so content, no need for TV and cars etc! The school kids prepared some songs for us and then we had to sing to them, everyone sang their national anthems except the 5 British people! None of us could remember it so we sang Spice Girls Wannabe instead! I dont know why! There was one guy who was part of the tribe who walked with us and he was a nutter! Kept shouting spiders at us and stuff while we were trying to balance on cliff edges! The women in the hills pretty much do all the work! We had a go at helping them gruch the rice and then the guys had to cook (one of the few jobs they do!). At the end of the trek we went river rafting and got soaked 'no wet, no fun madam!" Everyone was splashing us! And our guide just left us while he went to collect 1 random flip flop from the other side of the river! He had 2 on his feet!
Had a 2 hr massage on the street corner of the night bazaar last night! Its not as dodgy as it sounds, its the norm here, it was so nice but im still aching today! Anyway gotta go as im going to the lady boy cabaret in 20 mins! lol!
Enjoy the photos (id put more on but i dont have 8000 yrs to spare!)
