Ok I officially want to live in Oz! On Magnetic Island at the mo, got the ferry across from Townsville yesterday. Did have a small situation where i thought we were stuck in the Aussie bush at night last night but its ok cos we just made it out on time! Decided to go for a walk Koala spotting when we got here yesterday but seriously underestimated how long the walk was and it started getting dark while we were trekking through a bloody eucalyptus forest! And we didnt even see any Koalas! It was fun tho and we got out just as my nervous giggle was setting in good and proper! (Dont worry mum we were on a track and it was only dusky when we got out hey!) We did see a snake, a jungle cat and some rock wallabies which were pretty cool, and a cute little tree frog! I think the koalas were hidding! Our hostels pretty sweet here, right on the beach front and a really cool atmosphere. Had a few drinks (some free for some unknown reason!) last night and danced to possibly the worlds worst dj (no joke!) who actually plays mr lonely and crazy frog?! Why would you do that? Why? Anyway, went sea kayaking today. Was a bit scared of sharks but didnt see any! I thought i saw a turtle but on closer inspection it was a man snorkling and i looked like a right prat and probably need glasses! Spent the afternnon on the beach and in the pool, so nice! Off to Airlie beach and then cruising the Whitsundays next. love love love!
