Oh my god I LOVE it here! Having the best time ever, everyone is so laid back and friendly and Cairns is just amazing! My first day here i went on a boat trip out to the great barrier reef and went scuba diving (eventually!). It was really choppy and being the wimp that i am i panicked in the water and in my wisdom decided it would be a great idea to knock the mask off my face under a boat-why?! Anyway after my little panic the dive instructors were all really sweet and convinced me to give it another go at the the next stop where the water was much calmer and im so glad they did cos it was just awesom! It was so cool just swimming about in the corals with all the cool little nemos and other fish, i saw a giant clam and it snapped shut when we went near it and i held some wierd sea cucumber things. It was like another world! The whole day was pretty cool with free wine and lunch and a crazy entertainer guy. The crew were all trying to dance with us all day and everyone was joking around.

The day after i went on an Uncle Brians fun falls and forests trip to the Atherton Tablelands. It was one of the funnest days ever, it was all so random! Our guide was called cousin Ky and he was an absolute legend! Kept us laughing all day! The bus was called Gus and you werent allowed to call it a bus or it got upset and wouldnt get off roundabouts and stuff. Apparently Cousin Ky met Gus in Nigeria where he used to be a DJ. I know i sound drunk but i promise im not! We also met Vanessa Ann Ambulance who had a crush on Gus, but Gus only had eyes for Volvita the milk cart, biggest milk jugs in the area apparently! Oh yeah and we saw crazy grandmother caterpillar lady! Anyway....! We went to the falls where the timotei advert and the mysterious girl video was filmed and were all acting bout in the water, we also went for a walk in the rainforest and i saw a golden orb spider bigger than my hand! We went swimming in a gorgeous 60m deep lake surrounded by rainforest and Cousin Ky was just runnung round and round doing dive bombs off a ledge with no diving signs all over it! On the way home we all did Gus surfing but i was rubbish and only lasted half a corner! Maybe you had to be there!

Yesterday we went to the Daintree rainforest and Cape tribulation. We went on a boat down the river and saw some crocs. The rainforest was really beautiful. Went out ladst night and had such a great time, it was ladies night in the club and drinks were free until midnight hehehe! AM suffering from the effects of too much free 'champagne' today tho! Going to Magnetic Island tomora to recover and go walking and spot Koala bears! Hopefully i wont get eaten by a dingo or croc tho!
