hello from Guanajuato so update since Mexico city. We met up with our group, very exciting we are travelling with 2 Australian girls, 3 Namibian girls and a Canadian man! our first stop was Taxco a small colonial silver town, quite pretty but we have been spoilt with other lovely towns so didnt find it as lovely as the rest of our group. walked up the church bell tour to see the view of the city, very nice. Then off to Alcapulco which was a little bit of a diss...

Sorry we haven´t written for a while we´ve been really really busy now we´re on tour! Our group is realy nice and we´ve been having lots of fun with them. We´ve been being quite adventurous doing canyoneering (abseiling down waterfalls), ziplining and hiking. Sadly we couldn´t do any white water rafting becuase the water was too high in the rivers, which is a shame but it saved us some money!! So...we´re currently on day 8 of the rain. After a very soggy couple of days in Boquete, Panama we crossed the border into Costa Rica (fairly straightforwardly) and made it to San Jose where it was....raining shock horror! We´d booked a whitewater rafting trip from San Jose but we didn´t hold out much hope that the river would be safe enough to raft on (also the thought of rafting in the cold river in the torrential rain wasn´t altogether tempting anyway!). We made it up into the mountains to a town called Boquete. The bad news is that it hasn't stopped raining since Monday which is getting very tedious and annoying! We can't actually do anything because all the activities are outdoorsy type ones which can't be done in torrential downpours.
