Today we visited the only hospital in Matagalpa. In fact it is the closest hospital within 5 or 6 hours and it was quite the experience. It really is tough to describe today's experience but it certainly makes you grateful for the things that we take for granted. There were so many patients and there seemed to be an endless number of hallways. The hospital is absolutely enormous! Heey again!! Lauren blogging once again!! Today was very interesting emotional I enjoyed it but also broke my heart, but physically did not enjoy it at all. Today we went up the HUGE hills, to pray for the very less unfortunate, we had to go up very steep hills climbing in human waste. But it was worth it. Today was a very full day! We saw lots, had a lot of emotions and got to connect with a lot of children! The majority of the day, for us, was spent with the children at the re-nutrition centre while the guys painted the sunday school area and our 2 nurses worked in the clinic. There were about 18 children ranging in age from 7 months to 5 years. Its amazing how little they all were and premature for their ages....the 7 month old girl was like a new born wei...
