Hello Xi'an! All I can say so far is that I love the food! Yes I said it. I LIKE THE FOOD! I can't even believe it myself.

The 20 hour train ride was a lot better than I thought. I was top bunk. Big mistake. I couldn't even sit up CHAAAA. I could lie flat and just bend my legs upwards. I spent most of the ride on the fold down seat on the aisle reading my book I swapped at my last hostel. Around the world in 80 days, totally relevant. Imagine I finished it on the train hha. Time to swap again! That's 2 books in a week. I'm enjoying reading :)

Anyhuuuu back to the train. It was like being on the Hogwart Express with people pushing food trolleys full of weirdness down the tiny aisles every 3 mins. Literally every 3 mins. I bought KFC at the station so I could eat it later which I did. Cold KFC is not as bad as you think. I sat watching people chatting away in Chinese and realised I was the only non Chinese person on the train ha! If I do say so myself I was pretty impressed with myself for coming this far. Was feeling really happy at this point =D

Lights went out at 10pm on the dot. I was already lying flat in my coffin when they went out so it was cool. I woke up plenty times in the night and looked to see if my bags were still there incase someone decided to bolt cut them out of my steel combo lock they were attacked too on the metal rack and run off with my heavy duty brick bag. It didn't happen, phew hahaaa. Lights came on at 7am sharp righty in my face as I was on top. I was awake already so it was again okay. In my bag I had a giant pot of Chinese noodles which I had so far avoided but gave in at 10am. Such gooood noodles!!! So happy with them 30p! No wonder every person on the train was eating them the night before.

Also, I used a squatter toilet twice :| Two words - gross and thighs. Nothing more to say on that.

I made friends with the girl underneath my bed before I got off and she was sooo nice. She helped me find the bus to my hostel. We swapped we chat names and are now buddies. Yay.

Hostel is cool got a free drink when I got here. Went on a mish to find y next train tickets and came back with a sweet potato I then ate it and went back for a other sweet potato. Supper fooooood! I washed my skin as it was needed and headed into the old city to the Muslim quarter. Good heaven! Beautiful smells and sights and lots of people. I found the mosque after my 2 portions of lamb on a stick and had a look around.

It was so pretty, Chinese buildings with Arabic writing. An unusual mix but really cool to see. I've uploaded a few photos. I also found the fake market which I will go back and have a look at lol. It felt like morocco souks. Lav it!

I'm going to chill tonight and read another book. I just befriended an English couple at the front desk who seem cool.

Oh my! I almost forgot. I had a Dairy Queen frozen yoghurt cone on the way back. Best icecream ever!! So gooooood.

My plans are to see the terracotta warriors on Monday and have a look around the old city walls.
