Hi all,

Thanks for your messages, it's lovely to hear from you all. We're currently in Rwanda, spending the night in a strange monastery place that looks like a jail. All 12 of us are kipping the same dorm tonight here so should be amusing. Since xmas we camped just outside Kampala and lat night we were in a beautiful campsite overlooking Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda. Apparently its the deepest lake in uganda. The drive from the lake to here was the most stunning ever. Rwanda is full of lush green hills covered in tea and banana plants. We went to the genocide memorial museum in Kigali today. It was intense. Reading the history and hearing the stories and then driving through the streets where it all happened was rather emotional. Hard to believe something so horrific happened only 13 years ago.

Anyway, on a brighter note, we've an early start tomorrow and will be tracking the gorillas in the volcano park. Yay...can't wait :)
