Hello all, There was a bit of excitement yesterday. 5 of the volunteers went away for the weekend to do a safari, spend a night sleeping with rats and bugs in a masai village and then finishing off with a trek up a live volcano yesterday morning. Apparently all went well until the volcano exploded. D'oh! School is going better now. I have resorted to playing lots of games with the kids in between the dull bits, to keep them amused. They go crazy over hangman. Armed with only a blackboard, chalk and a grammar book that I nicked off another volunteer, I made it through my first class! Woohoo! It was pretty scary at first, but I had nothing to worry about. Hi all, I made it to Tanzania. I was a bit dubious that me and my luggage would get to Kilimanjaro International Airpot in one piece with Air Tanzania, but we did. It was sad saying good bye to all the people from the first overland trip, but I've made some good friends that I'll hopefully keep in touch with. The volunteer house we're staying at is great. I was expecting a shack somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but it's 2 nice big houses in a big secure plot...
