Our Travels
Back in Queenstown after our wonderful helicopter trip and the sun was still shining! We made our way down to the lakeside and booked in for the 'Million Dollar Cruise' which was due to depart soon after.
It was a spur of the moment thing but we were so glad that we did this trip. It was a 90 minute tour round Lake Wakatipu. The sun was sparkling on the water and the views were just spectacular! The boat was small and friendly but also very comfortable and the captain, Wayne, was a real charmer and a really knowledgeable guide into the bargain.
Even better, the bar was open! We were able to enjoy a glass of white wine to toast our brilliantly successful day while chatting to our fellow travellers on the boat. These included a wonderful 80 year old Irish lady who was out visiting family in Australia and thought she might just as well 'pop over' to New Zealand while she was out this way. What a star!
Back to Azur for our customary wine and canapes. We shall miss that when we leave tomorrow!
