We got up and packed up for the last time on this trip. We headed out in search of some lunch before our departure. It was very, very chilly and some snowflakes were in the air and landing on our jackets. We popped inside a building over the subway and found one of many local lunch haunts, this one call SLOW CAFE (in busy town) ... very cute and very Japanese! We had a fabulous set lunch with miso soup and the most amazing main which seemed very like a scotch egg Japanese style, absolutely delicious!!

After lunch it was back to the hotel to check out and a taxi to Kyoto station to catch the limousine bus to the airport. It all went very smoothly and we finished off the last of the chocolate sticks, (and the whisky!) from Lawson's on the coach. The airport was incredibly busy so we were very glad to get tickets for the fast lane and also for the lounge so we could relax before our flight.

Okini, Kyoto, we've had a lovely time. Goodbye Japan, we will be back soon!!
