So whilst making our way here to Koh Chang, we had a couple of nights in Sukhothai and a night in Bangkok. Not much to report from Sukhothai as it was a bit of a ghost town. So today was most certainly up there with the best days so far!! After seeing the elephants poorly treated on the trek, we wanted to see them in a more natural environment. We booked a day at Elephant Nature Park which is an organisation that rescues orphans/ elephants that have been badly treated. Our day began by feeding them. They eat so much- even more than Samuel!! We returned to Chiang Mai from Pai on Thursday. Our ride back was not as fun as our ride there. We didn't stop as much so our backs and bums were very sore but on the plus side it only took 3.5hrs rather than the 6 hrs it had taken to get to there. The past couple of days have been pretty chilled. Pai is basically hippy central! The town is so cool, they have vintage shops everywhere and it's such a relaxed vibe compared to the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. This morning we checked out the 'secret' hot springs. After a bit of a bumpy ride to get to them, when we rocked up, it just so happened there was no one else there so we were left in peace to enjoy! We had abit of a disappointing after noon ...

So, whilst on our trek, we met two girls from the US, Anna and Carolyn. They convinced us to ride scooters with them to Pai the next day! ( I say scooters, Samuel managed to convince me to let him splash out and get a proper bike!) It was incredible... Turns out I'm a pro at riding a scooter ;) We eventually set off about 11am.
