Shanghai

Varley decided to come along for the ride in Shanghai.  Shanghai is awesome, very impressive when you first arrive at night with all the bright lights and skyscrapers.  Very much the NY of china.  Also quite expensive though - so quite hard to be on a budget!

Seen a few of the sights here, such as the Pearl tower (as shown in the pic).  Been on a boat trip on the river, done a bit of shopping ...and of course had the obligitory drunken night out. Varley being Varley was keen to invent new rule after new rule. Sadly for me, I was on a losing streak and ended up a bit of a state.  We some how managed to get ourselves into Bar Rouge (a very posh bar) despite all looking a bit of a mess! Drinks being bought obviously came down to a classic game of paper, scisssos, stones. Which I also lost. Not a freat night for me.

Varley has now left us to go back to Hangzhou. We were supoosed to be on a 26 hour train journey to Hong Kong today, but when we got to the train station the train was ull! Doh! Back to the youth hostel we came. Heading off 2moro to somewhere near HK, since there is not another train for 2 days. How rubbish is that?! Ayway i'll stop ranting now.
