We arrived in Surat Thani after taking another overnight train, this time not infested with cockroaches, we took a bus for 2 hours and arrived in Khao Sok which is surrounded by National Parks, lakes and lots of lovely views. We went to the National Park for a wander and came across a stream that we paddled in for a while and without knowing it Sam took back 2 new freinds......
It stared to rain on the way out of the park so we sheltered for a bit and then when it stopped we made our way out but the ground was very slippy... Sam noticed that her foot was bleeding loads but couldnt see a reason so just left it and by the time she got back to the huts we were staying in it was obvious what it was...... she had had a leech on her and when they suck you even for a second it keeps bleeding which would explain the mess her foot was in but then she took her other flip flop off and there was one hiding underneath the strap.... Sam was in absolute shock and was petrified. She remebered you have to flick them off but then it was scurrying round the bathroom and up the wall. She decided to squash it with a plastic bag. I hope that never happens again! Vicky was lucky and was untouched!!
We had lunch and then chilled out for the rest of the evening.
We left at 8:30 the next morning and after a 3 hour bus journey arrived in beautiful Krabi for 2 whole days of...........................nothing to do!!
