Byron Bay is quite an accentric seaside town as the vibe is sort of hippy/surfer and nearby there is a place called Nimbin where weed is a big thing there. Its still illegal to smoke but accepted more in Nimbin than other places as there are a lot of hippy/groovy people with their tie-dye clothes and mad hair! When we arrived in Noosa the weather was awful so we just headed straight to the hostel on the free bus they run got ourselves sorted. The hostel was way over priced for nothing atall but we expected things to get more expensive as we work our way down the coast.
