Changing of the Guard + + +
Up by 8am to get ready for a busy day beginning with a trip to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard. There was so much fanfare; including a band playing, yelling of orders, lots of stomping and marching about. So interesting to see and hear. Stepped over to the Queen Victoria Memorial and walked down through St James's Park to the bridge and on to St. Margaret's Church and Westminster Abbey! I snuck a few photos of where the Royal Wedding will take place and was interested to listen about where everyone will sit for the 2000 guest wedding and where they will walk in and out from. It seems like every square inch of the Abbey is dedicated to someone! From Queens to poets to saints to musicians. We grabbed a quick lunch snack from a Tesco Express (Like a small aisle in a grocery store you walk down and pay at the end) and took pictures at the House of Parliament and Big Ben before catching the tube back to Richmond. From there we stopped at a few shops and met some of Melissa's friends at the White Cross pub for "Wine Time" on the Thames River. After we all had dinner at Zizzi's a WONDERFUL rustic-wood oven Pizza and Italian restaurant! What a busy and fun day!
Tomorrow Plans: Relax, laundry, take it as it comes...
