Ah Paris ! It is as lovely as its reputation has implied, well except for the unsavory elements of the street deposits.
We have had a rendezvous with both with Marnie ( francophile extraordinaire) and Tom O'B and Phoebe (our french interpreter). She is so good that people ask her where in France she is from!!
We have seen beautiful artworks, wandered the Champs Élysées, gone to the top of the Eiffel tower, wandered the formal gardens, been lost in the charming streets of Montmartre, eaten ice-cream on the Isle St Louis, caught a boat down the Seine and we all have sore feet from the km's we have clocked up.
We enjoyed a day trip to Giverny to see Monet's garden and house, perfect weather for a leisurely browse of the beautiful garden and town.
We had another day trip to Versailles to visit gardens and a palace. What an amazing place. The palace is ... Well... Palatial, the gardens are magnificent, huge and so structured. We had a fantastic day viewing and exploring the huge and magnificent grounds of the palace.
So adieu Paris, until we meet again.
