Surfers was like a bigger version of Byron, but no where near as good!! It was just way too full on. Like the whole time I was there it felt like you had to go out and get wasted every night. Which was true cause there was nothing else to do really. The nights out where good, but I didnt think that it had the same good atmoshere as Byron. I met a few good people here too. I arrived on my own as Rob didnt arrive till the next day and then a couple of days ...

I left Sydney and took a 13 hr night bus to Byron Bay. I was really anxious about arriving there as this was the 1st place I was arriving on my own. Was really exciting too a real feeling of indipendance. I really enjoyed Byron bay, its gotta be on of my frav places, I enjoyed it so much that I went twice. I think the people I met there really made it for me. Most the people I met here, I kept on bumping into on my way up the coast, which was really cool...

I got to Sydney on 19 May and spent 5 days just seeing the city. The 1st thing I did was go up the Sydney Tower. Its 250 meters high and has an observatory deck with windows all around so you get a 360 veiw of the city, which is pretty cool as it helped me get my barings and see where I was going next! I went to the chiense Gardens of friendship and the sydney Aquarium next. I went over to the zoo and saw loads of cool aussie animals like koalas and kangaroo...

I stayed in Chaweng for the first few days, which is basically just like one of the Greek Islands. A real tourist area, which is good for a couple of days but after a while the crowed streets and beaches, get a bit annoying. It was convient though, so many shops selling everything you need and plenty of cheap eats and accomadation to choose from. From Chaweng we headed North to an area called Hat Mae Nam. 14 May-18 May Really loved Hong Kong. I thought it was an amazing city. It seemed so much more advanced than Beijing or even London in some ways. Getting around the city on your own is so easy, they have so many methods of transport. You can take a tram, Taxi, bus or the underground(MTR). They they are all reliable services.
