Just a quick update on our travels! Well, yesterday we had a 6hour journey from Cairns to Townsville which was a bit of a killer but worth it. Our hostel is nice and we have an ensuite room which is handy. Yesterday afternoon we just went for a walk around Townsville and then walked up Castle Hill to a lookout which was mega hard (in flip flops) but the views were great. Well, it's our last day in Cairns today which is sorta sad but we're also ready for the next place, Townsville. Yesterday was a good day spent on a tour of Cape Tribulation and Daintree. The only problem was that the average age on the bus was about 60 so we felt mega young and there were a few cringing moments but they were a nice bunch. Well, yesterday snorkelling was fun. It started off being stupidly rocky as the sea was mega choppy, and it was pouring down, but we managed to survive. About 50% of the boat was sea sick and we were close at times but it was ok. Well, we're now in Mission Beach and it is GORGEOUS. The weather is super hot and the people are seriously laid back. It's kinda nice actually after all the cities etc.... Latest update from Airlie Beach - Well, yesterday we went on a FANTASTIC trip around the Whitsundays Islands! We set sail at 8.30am and we greeted by the crew and got free tea and coffee. Our first stop was at a bay containing lots of beautiful coral reef. We got to snorkel which was amazing.
