Time is ticking and still so much to be done.

Our biggest head ache at this stage is visas. We need visas for the following countries before arriving at the border posts:

- Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt and Europe

Today we were told by the Southern Sudanese consulate that they will be closed till Thursday AND we still have to get Ethiopia and Europe before Saturday. Had to call the courier company to collect the passports from them and take it back to the Ethiopians. The later told us last week that we don't a visa prior to arrival, but when I called again, they told us, now we do again. But in the meantime they lost our application forms, so back to the Visa Shop, new forms, new bank statements to say we have enough money, new photos yara yara yara.

Fortunately have an old contact from the travel industry in the Italian consulate and we should be able to get the visa there within 1 day. And the Sudanese told me they will notify their office in Kampala that we can get it there within 24 hours. Let us see... Not keen on the idea that we have to rely on that but have very little choice at this stage. Fortunately it is a good contact at the Southern Sudanese Office so believe it will work.
