Greetings from Paris!
Well, I need to explain the background to the title for this blog entry......
John and I first travelled to Paris in 1978. It was winter and we lined up to buy tickets to go to the summit of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, the fog set in so they only allowed us to go to the first level...
In 1994, we were returning to Australia after a year of living in Iowa USA, on a teacher exchange. We purposely flew from New York to Paris so that we could take Lauren, Mitchell and Peter up to the top - THE SUMMIT- of the Eiffel Tower, because we missed out in 1978. However, after lining up for three hours, a strong wind came up, so they closed the summit and only allowed us to go to the second level!!!!!
And so, today, the dawning of our third opportunity, John and I travelled on the 5:40am Eurostar from London to Paris... We queued for three hours and FINALLY made it to the top, where we celebrated with a glass of champagne.
So, after 35 years and three attempts, WE MADE IT!!!!
Photos to come...........
Love to all,
Sadie/p>
P.S.Next stop Interlaken, Switzerland on Monday, 22 July. John and I will be skydiving out of a helicopter from 15 000 ft!!!!

Mitchell Not sure where you're meant to write on this fancy blog thing. Glad everything has been great so far; at least you got good weather for one out of the "two days" you needed! No photos send work on Hotmail so it was good to see them on here. Hope the weather is great in Interlaken, I'm sure you'll enjoy the skydive no matter what! Love you both xox P.S. Fish and plants are dead, mail's uncollected and the house is a dump :)
Narelle Winners!!!
