After a hearty breakfast we were ready to learn more about Slovakia's capital city. Our local guides gave us a detailed orientation of the city's history and architechure, from its Celtic Beginnings through its hard times under Communism, before we set out in groups to explore the old town on our own. It was not hard to find ways to occupy our time in an area with an ancient castle, a well-preserved medieval town center, and lots of great places to eat. We all would have loved to stay a little longer, but we had a concert to get ready for. "Do videnia!" (Goodbye).
