The next morning poor Soph was still really sick and ended up spending the day at hotel :(. The rest of the group set out for a walk around lovely old town with Beth (tour guide) ending at the Panama hat factory where we could watch the traditional hats being made. Next we walked along the river board ring new town and tried to go to a museum with shrunken heads but unfortunately it was closed being Monday. Back in old town centre we climbed the cathedral for a view over Cuenca - bit of a feat at 2,500m above sea level. Later we hoped on the open tourist bus for a tour of town ending with a pretty night view out over the city and a mulled cider.
