17:30 - Pick up at 7.30! On the bus I met Nina and Graham from the last tour. We spent the day at the falls on the Argentinian side. And may I say WOW!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!! Amazing sight all that water spilling over with a continuous roar. It has been a while on the trip since anything has had this sort of effect on me. The guide attempted to railroad people into doing a jungle adventure tour which included a jeep tour in the jungle around the falls and a zodiac ride in and around the falls. I insisted...and then insisted again as he tried to make it difficult, and I finally managed to get to do the Nautical Adventure (which is just the zodiac ride where you get soaked). Despite my wearing waterproofs I did get a little bit wet but I had brought a change of T-shirt so it was not a major hassle. Also, I must say that the upside to having 38 degrees is that you dry very quickly! And my god was it hot today!!! As we got dropped off at our hotels at 4pm it was still roasting...and apparently it will stay above the 30's until 10pm...I had thought of going out to the pool but decided on a little rest and sorting of photos until at least 7pm when the temperature will be a little more bearable. A funny aside was bumping into Sunitta at the falls :-)...she hates the heat so I wonder how she got on today. I leave for Brazil tomorrow. First I vist the falls from the Brazilian side and then go to the airport for my flight to Cuiabà in the Pantanal (Mato Grosso area). The good news is that as my flight is not until 7pm, I will get picked up at 1pm :-). So I should be able to enjoy a very rare lie in.
21:30 - I went back for dinner at El Quincho de Tio Querido. Why change a winning formula? Near hotel, good food and very polite waiters...what's not to like? :-). In the restaurant, I bumped into a couple that was on the tour today...of course me being me I didn't immediately recognize them! I must have looked like an idiot with delayed reactions. My excuse is that I was tired. I have made myself stay awake when I got back this afternoon, so that I'll get a proper night's sleep. Last night after my lengthy afternoon nap, I only fell asleep around 4 in the morning!
