Hervey Bay to Airlie beach took eleven hours. As you get off the greyhound bus, the hostel were you are booked into pick you up off the bus. The person who picked me up was a lad I was fruit picking with...f***ing mad. Good to meet back up with Andy and Emma and had a few drinks with them that night. Went on the whit sundays sailing boat the next day.
I got a box of goon and twelve cans for the two days and two nights. Had an amazing time and it was roasting hot. We anchored pretty close to an island which is in the top five resorts in the world, and is papparazi free. The people who work on the island, when they finish they go through an underground tunnel to were they live and are not allowed to talk or socialise with the stars.
The captain told everybody to sit on the high side of the boat as we were sailing. The boat felt like it was going to capsize but he said its normal so I trusted him ha. We anchored up and got smashed. We basically done the same the next day. We went to the whitsundays island which was really nice. From a view poin you could see a s*** load of sting rays in the sea, so if you were on the beach you had to do a mad penguin walk incase you stood on one ha. At the night time our captain said there was a pub on one of the islands, so we got in the dingy and headed there in the pitch black with a torch. It took fifteen minutes to get there and in the middle of knowhere was a random pub!!
The driver got pissed aswel, and after a few drinks we headed back to get more pissed. The captain ended up getting completely smashed and smoked weed which another lad had brought and he passed out on the top of the boat so he must have been freezing over night. We headed back the next morning to get off the boat and went out with everybody that night.
I said bye to Andy and Emma and headed to Cairns on a twelve hour bus journey. As I arrived and was walking towards my hostel a smack head stopped me and said..dont worry the plane has landed, pulled down her pants and started pissing in the road. Thirty seconds later the police come and arrested her, so it was good first impressions of Cairns haha
As I was walking towards my room two lads of my whit sundays boat where there so we ended up staying together the whole time. We got f***ed that night and the door was open. Loads of randoms kept coming in, and by the end there must have been about thirty people in the one room and on a small balcony.
We went to the woolshed that night which is one f***ing mad club. I bumped in to a lad who is from Saughall Massie which was a bit mad. Pete of whitsundays was talking to an abo women and gave ger $50 to get her and him a drink. She never come back and he told me what had happened, so we went up to her and she went over to about fifteen abo's so there was f*** all Pete could do. He rang me about two minutes later and said come outside. As I went outside to speak to him he said im going to chop them up...I said dont be silly, next thing he pulled up his top and had a machete down his pants haha After a couple of hours I finally persuaded him to go to bed..funny times.
Was sad to leave Cairns, I had met some unbelievable people. I got a flight to Sydney and stayed in Kings Cross for one night.
