We got a 10 hour bus journey to Siem Reap,north of Cambodia. We where on a tight schedule to get to Koh Phangan (a Thailand island) for new years so we where only going to stay there for two nights. As soon as we arrived, we found a guest house, and booked 2 do a tour of the temples of Angkor the next day, getting picked up at 5.30 in the morning,and for a driver to take us around all of the temples it would cost us 5 dollars each for the day...really cheap!!

Angkor Wat is basically lots of different temples. We got there about 5.30 and the sunrise was at 6.30. It got to 6.15 and we realised that with the clouds, there was never going to be a sunrise so we started looking around!! Some of the temples were really big and impressive but some where s***. We got to a temple called Ta Phrom which was where some of the tomb raider film was filmed. It was quality trees overgrown on buildings and stuff...sounds boring but the pictures are good. The kids were so annoying trying to sell you stuff. You say your not buying nothing, but they dont listen and keep trying. Felt like killing them.

We finished the day with a can of angkor beer. We where f***ing exhausted. We where told you start at five in the morning and you stop at seven at night. We where back at our guest house by 2.30!! so we done it really quick.

We went out that night to watch the Liverpool game and started talking to a random man from New York. He asked me where i was from and i told him by Liverpool. He said he had a friend from the Wirral, and i said i was from Birkenhead. He then said his friend owns the Coach and Horses pub haha. Proper random and he had also been kicked off on in the beach!! We got told about a bar in the area where there are crocodiles underneath you, and full of backpackers. So we got a tuk tuk to this club. As we went in, there were no crocs and no backpackers, just full of cambodians haha. It was random but had a laugh. Outside had a sign which said no guns, knives, and then a big picture of a camera as if that was the biggest danger haha. When we were in the club, there would be a trance song on, next would be a love song, then a rap song, then a dance song etc etc so wierd!! We left the next morning to Bangkok so we could get a bus to Koh Phangan for new years.
