Bolivia was a world wind tour and definatley wins the award for the most amazing landscapes so far. On the other hand it also wins the award for the most disgusting buses ever and the worst toilets you could possible imagine!! After the salt flats it was a race down to Santiago in Chile to catch our flight to Oz. We treated ourselves to a hotel instead of a hostel in Santiago as we had been sleeping in stone huts for days. It cost about 15 pounds which is expensive as our usual hostels were about 2 pounds and it was the most luxurous room I have ever seen!! We got two balcony's, a coach and chair lounge style area, massive TV and gold trimings and a proper bed WITH pillows!

After the Potosi mining adventure we hopped on a bus to Uyuni. Now I have been moaning about the rubbish public transport since I started writing about Peru and Bolivia but this litterally was the worst bus journey EVER!! After a crazy fun couple of days in La Paz we headed to Potosi on a 12 hour night bus (as usual minus the toilet and any other standard comforts). In Potosi we went on a tour of the local mineral and gold mines which was awsome, and a but wierd, it started by putting on bight yellow mining gear and heading to the local miners street markets.
