alright, so this morning before we left kansas city, we went in search of independance MO, and we found an ancient soda fountian. we had the best root beer floats and grilled cheese sandwich. president truman used to hang out there too, so a little history bonus for my mom. we never really found the place we were looking for so we hit the road and headed for St. Louis Missouri. we reached our destination with no problems. we dropped off our stuff at our hotel and then headed for down town river front area. we came upon the arch and
oh my gosh...
it was HUGE. so of course we wanted to go all the way up to the top. so we bought tickets and saw a movie on how it was built before actually going up the monument. alright, if anyone out there is claustrophobic, i don't recommend u traveling to the top of the monument. they squeeze you into these little pods that are four feet in diameter and you have to siit there for about three minutes while u get towed to the top. AND THEY ROCK. like, not rock in the cool way but rock in the swinging life threatning way. so ya, after that traumatizing experiance, we saw the the city of St. Louis from a very high point of view. it was amazing. so after oggoling at the view, we went back down and asked a police man where a good place to eat was. THANK YOU MISTER POLICE MAN, we had the best dinner i've had in so long, the place is called calicos so if your ever is St. Louis, tis a must. and it's only like two blocks away from the arch so it was perfect. the food was Italian and DELICIOUS. so friggin good!!!!!!!!
after dinner we hopped back in our car and headed back to the hotel. and me and my mom are currently watching 'You've Got Mail', a personal favorite with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. just in case you didn't know. alright tomarrow, i'm hoping to get to the farm so wish me luck.
Hasta luego people,
TAP, Teresa
