Two days in Ayuthaya has left us a little weary-eyed. We saw a lot of temples, we hired a man and his tuk-tuk for the day yesterday, and never before have I been so sunburnt!! Good day though, a 'romantic' breakfast of toast the size of 4 fifty-cent coins left us a little hungry!! Ayuthaya is a city that has not a lot going for it apart from the large smattering of temples. We decide to catch a bus up to the Northern parts of Thailand, and stay in Chiang Mai. Little did we know, there was no such thing as ticket reservations ... so we had to stand for 4 out of the 9 hours, on a bus full of local Thai people .. coping with 2 toilet stops .. We arrived in Chiang Mai feeling a little worse for wear, but managed to find a lovely place to stay.
